Meet "True Comedy"
Christian Comedienne True Comedy, born "Kristy Smith," has always had something to say, however, when the Lord showed her a vision with a mic in her hand she was speechless. She thought her destiny would be in music which she loves however, God had a totally different plan for her life. She is reminded of the scripture in Proverbs 19:21, Many are the plans in a mans heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.
She has been gifted with the ability to bring laughter to the body of Christ, and the world. She highlights the humor in everyday life and incorporates God’s humor as she delights audiences from small to large. True Comedy's debut was initiated when she was encouraged to take her humor from the pew to pulpit. Since her initial appearance she has been catapulted in front of a wide variety of audiences- from church gatherings, to comedy clubs, to family events. True Comedy brings family oriented humor and fun to any audience.
Raised by her mother in Columbus, Georgia and the youngest of seven children, there had to be laughter in the home and she provided it. Blessed with a wonderful, supportive husband and the mother of two, True Comedy's purpose is to allow the people of God to see the laughter in some of life's challenges, experiences and lessons. True Comedy's ministry also helps us to understand that it doesn't matter what kind of stumbling block the adversary may try to throw along our paths because we know that in the end....we win! Kristy has laughed people to life and shared the stage with world famous artists including Helen Baylor, Jonathan Slocumb, Marcus D. Wiley and Martha Munizzi.
